Weeley

Located approximately 5 miles North of Clacton-on-Sea, this village formerly know as Wilgelea was originally founded as a Saxon settlement. In the village centre there are many ancient buildings including a 17th century inn as well as selection of modern housing. Amenities include a primary school, mainline railway station, recreation ground and a parish church which still retains its Tudor tower, situated down a country lane in the rural setting of Weeley Heath. This small area is on the direct outskirts of Weeley and is made up of a network of country roads in which there is a variety of housing styles and a public house.
