This semi rural village located on the northern side of Clacton-on-Sea gives its name to the Peninsular and District Council. The village has a mix of cottages and fine homes which occupy a wide spread area along the main arterial road through the village and in the surrounding country lanes. You will find such amenities as a primary school, a general village stores, traditional public houses/restaurants and a church set within its own picturesque grounds.
